Goal: To support the mission and ministry of the COGS through music

Focus: Pray for God’s guidance as we prepare choirs, soloists, instrumentalists, and others for the ministry of music.

Mission Statement: The Music Department is committed to selecting and conducting spiritual music which brings glory to God and ministers to the congregation.

Objectives:

· Organize and implement a National Mass Choir for the National Convocation.

· Establish formal guidelines, policy and procedures for the music department.

· Organize two branches for the music department: Musician’s Branch and Choral Branch.

· Conduct at least two (2) national workshops per year.

· Provide workshops, seminars, and related training programs as needed and/or requested for the national, district and local churches.

· Attend one (1) gospel music workshop in the U. S.

· Sponsor one (1) delegate from England and/or Jamaica to attend the National Convocation.

· Coordinate efforts of the National Music Department with the district and local church music leaders.
